Our Objectives

Strategic goals and objectives that drive TPC's mission to transform Kerala's tourism industry.

Familiarization Trips

Familiarization (FAM) Trips

TPC regularly organizes overnight familiarization trips to hotels and resorts across Kerala and South India. These FAM trips allow members to personally experience the properties, understand their amenities and services, and explore nearby attractions. This hands-on knowledge helps our members design richer, more customized travel packages for their clients. We also share our feedback with principal agents and partners, offering properties valuable publicity and endorsements that help boost bookings and awareness.

B2B Marts and Exhibitions

B2B Marts and Exhibitions

Our B2B marts—hosted at major hotels in Cochin—offer an exclusive platform for TPC members to connect with tour operators, outbound DMCs, and property representatives from South India and beyond. Offered at discounted rates for members, these events create meaningful opportunities to build relationships and explore new business partnerships. We also host networking dinners and interacting sessions, providing a relaxed setting for members to engage, share insights, and establish long-lasting professional bonds.

Shoot the Rain

Shoot the Rain – Celebrating Monsoon Tourism

Shoot the Rain is TPC’s flagship monsoon football tournament, launched in 2007. It unites hoteliers, tour operators, and tourism professionals in a spirited event that blends sport, networking, and monsoon tourism promotion. Held during Kerala’s rainy season, it highlights the state as a year-round destination. With growing participation and media buzz, the 2025 edition set new records —cementing the event as a key industry celebration.

Hands-On Learning

Hands-On Learning & Training

We offer targeted training programs designed to enhance the professionalism of our workforce. These include digital marketing workshops, service tax education, and specialized sessions for tourist chauffeurs focused on behavior, body language, and service etiquette. Our goal is to ensure that every member of the industry is equipped to provide world-class service to domestic and international travelers while upholding Kerala’s reputation for hospitality and excellence.

Industry Insights

Fast, Reliable Industry Insights

TPC’s dedicated WhatsApp platform keeps our members connected in real-time. Whether it’s accessing important updates, sharing offers, or seeking quick answers, this group often delivers faster results than a Google search—thanks to the collective wisdom of seasoned professionals. Moderated by committee members, the platform maintains strict standards to ensure relevance and professionalism, keeping members informed and engaged with industry trends and opportunities.

Industry Connections

Strong Industry Connections

TPC has long-standing ties with Kerala Tourism, government departments, and key industry bodies. We actively engage with policymakers and leaders to ensure our members’ voices are heard at the right forums. Beyond representation, we address member concerns, push for policy reforms, and drive practical solutions that strengthen both our members and Kerala’s tourism sector.

Social Responsibility

Committed to Social Responsibility

TPC believes in giving back. We regularly organize clean-up drives and maintenance efforts at tourist destinations with the active participation of our members and in coordination with local authorities. We also work closely with District Collectors to promote environmental protection and sustainable tourism. Our campaigns raise awareness about plastic waste, responsible travel, and the importance of preserving Kerala’s natural beauty and cultural heritage.

Build Lasting Partnerships

Build Lasting Partnerships

TPC is Kerala's only organization dedicated to the professional growth and welfare of tourism employers. Through our platform, members can engage directly with top travel agents, DMCs, hoteliers, and tourism service providers. We don't just build connections—we nurture meaningful partnerships that lead to long-term business growth, mutual respect, and collective success. Being part of TPC means becoming part of a trusted, supportive professional family.

About Charity

About Charity

After the terrible Kerala floods in 2018, TPC acted quickly to help. We provided essential supplies to more than 150 families and raised ₹35 lakhs to support those who were affected. Our members also gave direct help on the ground in areas like Pazhampallithuruth, North Paravur. For these efforts, we were honoured by the then Tourism Minister of Kerala, Mr. Kadakampally Surendran. To continue this good work, we started the Tourism Care Foundation— a special branch of TPC focused on charity and helping our members. Through this foundation, we regularly run programs that support people working in the tourism industry and their families.
